A Garbo story
At the hotel in Klosters, Switzerland, with Sven Broman and his wife:
"One evening Greta Garbo entered the bar of the hotel in Klosters and looked unusually like a cunning little devil. She put her hands together and said to my wife and me: I´m the strangest person in the world! I´m born twice!"
The back-ground was newspaper articles which questioned her birth in Stockholm. No, she was instead born outside Hogsby in Smaland where her mother came from.

Background
In the spring of 1998 a considerable collection of photos was bought from a private collector in the USA. The pictures have been taken by the studio photographers of the MGM and they show an extremely high quality. All the Garbo-films are represented. A selection of ca 100 pictures from the whole lot of ca 1100 are now shown at the Garbo Exhibition, Storgatan 26 in Hogsby. Here you can also find a lot of other objects relating to Greta Garbo, among others an original dress from the film "The Saga of Gosta Berling" (1924).
